Sewing Sewing Sewing

Hannah's House Fundraiser
On August 20th, we had a Hannah's House fundraiser for The Brown's at Casey's house. I took examples of my sewing stuff and then our friends gave generously for the Baby Brown Fund. I'm giving 100% of the profit back . . .now all I have to do is start sewing! I was not expecting people to be so generous-so I will be busy for a while! If you want to follow the adoption process they have a great blog: http://bringinghomebabybrown.blogspot.com/

Sew Much More

On Saturday August 29th, we had our 3rd annual Sew Much More project where we sew 250reversible dresses in 1 day! We donate the dresses to our mission trips to Brazil, Mexico & West Africa. This year we finished by 3:00pm (a record!) and we ended with 374 dresses-thanks to some women who are sewing year round. It is such a testimony to God, you can't even imagine the stories we hear! The pictures are from Mexico last year.

1st day of school

Hannah's 1st day of school, her (last) first day of preschool-next year will be kindergarten-yikes!! She was so excited and happy to be with Katie again & Nathan, and very sad to NOT be with Hannah B. When I took her to school, Joshua walked in her room like he belonged there, sat down and started playing at a table full of kids. He cried when we left cause he wanted to stay-he thinks he's 4 too!

Allie's 3rd Birthday

Our niece Allie turned 3 in Louisiana so me & the kids headed down there, without Aaron since he just started his big new job. Her birthday is July 31st and Aaron's birthday is August 1st, so it was a bummer we weren't even around to celebrate Aaron's birthday. It was suppose to be a swimming party but it poured down rain so we just stayed inside and had fun. As a last minute activity (because of the rain) my sister in law had lots of tattoos for the kiddos. All the kids had tons of them (it was a huge hit) but Hannah would not hear of it-she refused to do it-oh how I hope she feels that way when she's 18! The next day was sunny and my brother Doug took all of us out on the pontoon and we had a great time-we just wish we lived closer so we could stay longer.
