Hannah's House

Well I made a blog with all my sewing stuff so I guess you could say I'm officially "open for business!" Please NEVER ever feel like you need to buy something from me, it's more of a-if-you-are-already-planning-to-order-this-product, you might as well ask me instead of a stranger type business! So when you have the time check it out:

I've also put a link on this blog (right side) in case you ever need an easy way to find this site once this post is old.

Medical Update

Just wanted to give a quick recap of Hannah's lastest health issues. We just had a ear checkup and the hole they patched in December has NOT completely healed as it should have. The good news is her hearing is still testing good, so they are going to just have us comtinue using ear plugs and will retest in 4 months and then make a decision.

Yesterday (May 19th) she had a procedure at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where they scoped her belly (they have a much fancier name for it), she has been having GI issues for about 13 months. She did absoluetely terrific (it required her being under anthesia) but she did wonderful. They cleaned out her intestines (which we are hoping will cure the problem), will will get the biopsy results by next Wednesday-I really think that the impactment was the only problem we are just praying the test confirm that.

Out of the mouth of babes, Hannah calls Grandma & Grandpa after the surgery and says, "The Dr. fixed me, now when I poop it won't even hurt!" Gotta love kids!

Job Update

Just wanted to update everyone on the job hunt. Aaron has been doing a great job searching and has had 6 or 7 interviews thus far. Nothings materialized yet but we know God has something for us. Aaron has a few solid leads that are "strong possibles" but won't actually be a position for a few more months. So patience is the key (as we all know not my strong suit!-but I'm working on it).

I will say that upon a job loss we should have invested in "Thank You Card Stock" because people's generosity has been unbelievable. We've received so many blessings in so many different ways: groceries, babysitting, free mechanic work (two friends saved us over $900!-tell me that isn't God's hand!), gift cards, leftovers, cards, sermons on CD, prayers and the list goes on and on. It is so spectacular to see the out pouring of love, so you all know who you are but THANKS again it is so amazing how kind and thoughtful people can be-the media should cover that very once in a while!

Mother's Day

I had a terrific Mother's Day with my mom plus Aaron going overboard to make it special. He outdid himself. Dad and Aaron cooked a great meal while mom, the kids & I were out for a walk, so we came home to a meal complete with china place settings & typed out menus-it was delicious and so extravagant. Then my gift was a gift certificate Aaron, Hannah & Joshua cleaning the house for a week that I don't have too-talk about awesome!

Hannah made me a card from school that said, "My mommy is special because . . .she makes breakfast for dinner!" It melted my heart.

Jumper's Playhouse

My folks came into town over Mother's Day weekend and we had a great time at Jumper's Playhouse a new inflatable area in Smyrna. The kids loved it, but I think mom & I ran a close competition with them-we were like kids racing down the slides and through the obstacle course. I highly recommend it!
